SigmaLens Intelligence - Terms of Use & Disclaimer

DRAFT - this template must be reviewed and finalized by a qualified securities lawyer in your jurisdiction before commercial launch. It is a starting point, not legal advice.

1. What the service does

SigmaLens ingests publicly available news and government data (including the GDELT Project and U.S. Treasury/OFAC publications) and computes indicative, news-driven risk scores for financial instruments and user-defined portfolios.

2. No investment advice; no fiduciary relationship

SigmaLens is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or fiduciary. Nothing in the service constitutes personalized investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. Consult a qualified professional before making investment decisions.

3. Accuracy and availability

Scores depend on third-party data that may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Historical validation metrics describe past model behavior and do not predict future performance.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SigmaLens and its operators are not liable for any trading losses, lost profits, or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

5. Accounts and acceptable use

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and API key. Automated abuse, resale of raw data feeds, and attempts to circumvent access controls are prohibited.

6. Data sources and attribution

Event data is derived from the GDELT Project (gdeltproject.org) and public U.S. government publications. Market reference data is provided by third-party sources and may be delayed. The service provides informational risk signals; it is not a sanctions-screening or compliance tool and must not be relied on for compliance decisions.

7. Your data

You retain ownership of the portfolio data you submit. We use it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can permanently delete your account and data at any time from the dashboard.

8. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for abuse, non-payment, or where required by law, with notice where practicable.

9. Governing law and disputes

[COUNSEL TO COMPLETE: governing law and venue; dispute-resolution / arbitration clause - note enforceability of mandatory arbitration and class-action waivers differs between US and UK/EU consumer contracts and must be jurisdiction-specific; consumer-law mandatory protections may override choice of law for foreign consumers.]
